Following the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”, In UGG Programme with the support of Concern and Irish Aid , Nari Maitree proudly celebrated World Environment Day 2026 across its three working zones—Khilgaon, Hazaribag, and Lalbagh.
The celebration brought together 150 direct participants, including Green Volunteers and Change Makers, and 120 indirect participants, including youth, children, and community members. The event was enriched by the presence of distinguished stakeholders, including representatives from local government part,( Zonal Officer and Deputy Secretory” Akter Unnessa, Zone-2)” -Zone 2, health services, ward councilor offices( Assistant Health Officer Dr. Sadat), community leaders, and relevant NGOs(World vision, PSTC, SAJEDA Foundation, Youth Environment and Development Organization ( YEDO).
The day featured a vibrant environmental rally, discussion session, tree plantation campaign, awareness drama, and an exciting quiz competition, all aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and climate action.
Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to protecting nature, combating climate change, and building a sustainable future for generations to come. 🌳💚
