About:

The Project will ensure targeted and comprehensive interventions that focus on identifying, challenging, and addressing gender-based discriminatory attitudes and behavior: these attitudes are the key drivers of the Human rights violations experienced by adolescent girls. This is why, both women, Adolescents, and supportive male members will be involved in eliminating GBV and other forms of Violations including improved livelihood by providing life-skill training. This project will be linking to health service providers to ensure gender-responsive and youth and child-friendly healthcare services and facilities are available and relevant to adolescent girls, especially in relation to SRHR services and psychosocial support through meetings, trainings, orientations. The proposed project will take all necessary measures to prevent all gender-based violence, including sexual exploitation and abuse, faced by adolescent girls either in the camp.

Objectives: Women and Girls protected from and treated for the consequences of GBV

Output: 1: Capacity of target communities and actors to support women and girls, inclusive of GBV survivors, to access services and promote well-being of women and girls is increased.

  •  At Least 80 Percent of trained GBV service providers and other humanitarian staff who achieved at least 60% post-test score after attending trainings in GBV core concepts, GBV response and prevention approaches and protection mainstreaming in the camps, and 70% targeted host community demonstrated their knowledge.
  • Total 230 individuals trained on concepts, activities, or interventions for GBV prevention and response

 

Output 2: Specialized life skills activities are conducted to improve adolescent access to SRHR and GBV prevention and response services

  • 60 girls who are completed a Girl Shine cycle

 

Output 3: Men and women participate in discussion groups around gender norms and decision making

  1. Inception meeting with local actors
  2. Mapping of Camp for identifying & Recruiting potential Volunteers
  3. Quick survey to identify Potential Women group Members and Male group members (identify male who will be supportive to prevent GBV and help Protect Women, adolescent girls from any form of violence) and care givers.
  4. Organise Training for Volunteers on Girl shine using IRC module
  5. Conduct baseline and end line survey for Girl Shine
  6. Orientation and meeting with community leaders
  7. Conduct EMAP (Engaging men through accountable practice) Sessions with male and female groups
  8. Conduct life skill sessions with adolescent girls and caregivers
  9. Conduct Training on GBV core concepts with community leaders Prevention and Community Outreach.
  10. Organise Training for volunteers on community outreach
  11. Identify Popular theatre group or organise a group by project staff
  12. Arrange Popular Theatre to sensitize Community on GBV & EMAP (Theatre should be developed considering cultural context of Camp populations and Host Community)
  13. Arrange relevant day observation program involving Target group to sensitise the community.
  14. Organise Training on GBV and PESA for community volunteers.

Each group contain 15 Participant & Total group of number is 16. All session conduct in different place or venue with different group by IRC EMAP Module. Ø  In community Male become friends.

Ø  230 Individuals 115 Male & 115 Female trained on EMAP interventions for GBV prevention and response.

 

2. Girl Shine life skill & caregiver curriculum.

 

Note:

(16 Session for adolescent girl participant 14 Session for adolescent girl’s Male caregiver & 14 Session for adolescent girl’s female caregiver Each group contain 20 Participant & Number of male caregiver groups is 1, female caregiver groups are 2. & adolescent girls’ group is 3 Total group of number is 6)

We have to completed 16 Session for adolescent girl with 3 group & 14 Session for their caregivers with 3 group. In 8 months, we completed 15 Session for adolescent girl with 3 group & 14 Session for their caregivers with 3 group.

 

16 Session for adolescent girl & 14 Session for their caregivers. Each group contain 20 Participant & Number of groups is 6. All session conduct in different place or venue with different group by IRC Girl Shine Module. Ø  In community caregiver become friend of adolescent.

Ø  120 Individuals 60 adolescent girl 20 Male caregivers & 40 Female caregivers trained on Girl Shine life skill & caregiver curriculum concepts & activities.

Ø  Gender Based Violence can be prevented such as Rape, sexual assault, abuse, including child sexual abuse, Sexual abuse and exploitation, Domestic violence, Child Marriage etc.

3. Listening Group

 

Note:

(20 Session for female participant & 20 Session for male participant. Each group contain 16 Participant & Number of male groups is 15 & Number of female groups is 25. Total group of number is 40)

Total 650 individuals trained on concepts, activities, or interventions for GBV prevention and response by Audio Drama. 250 are male & 600 are female. In 8 months, we completed 17 Session for female participant with 25 group & 19 Session for male participant with 15 group. Each group contain 16 Participant. 20 Session for female participant & 20 Session for male participant. Each group contain 16 Participant & Number of male groups is 15 & Number of female groups is 25. Total group of number is 40. All session conduct in different place or venue with different group by BBC Media action Module. Ø  Female are known about their rights.

Ø  Education is most powerful for prevent GBV.

Ø  Gender Based Violence can be prevented such as Rape, sexual assault, abuse, including child sexual abuse, Sexual abuse and exploitation, Domestic violence, Child Marriage etc.

4. Community Outreach 4,850 individua ls who are reached through GBV awareness raising. 2950 are female & 1900 are male.

 

In 8 months, we reached 1040 Male & 1560 Female. This is one to one or Group discussion method by IRC outreach module.
