Promote Quality Education is a project implementing in Dhaka city to promote quality education in mainstream government primary Schools primary schools by Nari Maitree. This is a project funded by Educo. This project has been designed to make greater impact towards the learner’s holistic improvements and transformative education. Under the project, desired changes will be made align with the vision 2021 of Bangladesh government, Education policy 2010, Primary Education Development Program-4 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG4).

Project Objective:

Contribution to safe, equitable and quality primary education at government primary schools in urban and sub-urban areas of Bangladesh

 

Project Area:

Dhaka north city and south city (Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Kodomtoli, Khilgaon, Vatara, Badda, Gulshan, Banani )

 

Focus Program participant: Children

  • Intra-school art and cultural competition in all schools.
  • Sports materials supports for school
  • Observe National and International Events in all schools(International Mother Language Day, National Children Day, Independence Day, Bengali New Year (Pahela Baishakh), Observe National Mourn Day, Victory Day)
  • Intra-school debate competition
  • Organizing Intra-school book reading competition
  • International Literacy Day celebration at district level
  • Pedagogic materials support for children for improving basic language & math skills
  • Packages of Hygiene materials (Soap) support for schools
  • Organize awareness campaign on importance of education at community level
  • Organinzing advocacy meeting with like-minded organizations- Go and NGOs working in Districts level
  • Training on leadership role and technical supervision with head Teachers and SMC President
  • Organizing Round-table discussion on teaching-learning improvement and dignity of education, teacher and students at district level
  • Training on facilitating CbEM with Community Resource Teachers (CRT)(2 day-long)
  • Teaching-learning materials for CRTs
  • Remuneration for the CRT for community based education sessions facilitation
  • Day long Refreshers session for the CRTs ( 2 times)
  • Training for the Community Volunteers(2 days)
