Violence against Women is not a minor issue in this globalization era. It is a heinous offence and violating human rights, to increase awareness at the field level with people of different walks of life Nari Maitree is working since 2005 on awareness issues. In the year 2009, a total of 30270 Change maker has been identified whose direct role in "We Can" prevents violence against women. To stop violence Nari Maitree is continuing its increased awareness activities among the schoolteachers, students of both school & colleges, youth Club, boys scouts and girl guides etc, Violence against women is not just an offence, it is a social malady, to get rid of this malady, all class of community should be actively active. The elected representatives of the community and officials of police stations, whose role are significantly important to overcome these issues. Nari Maitree develop 42-ward focal persons committee, build strong student forum since 2009.
Prevention toward domestic violence, Nari Maitree under took different activities / program which includes campaign, Art Competition with the assistance of Dhaka University Fine Arts student, organized Women Football Match at Bangabandhu International Stadium, observe different international days like Women day, World Aids Day, Violence Against Women prevent day International Voluntarism day.
