NM has been working with working children who are engaged in urban informal economy sector of Dhaka and Netrakona district to eradicate hazardous child labor from the society through implementing different projects. NM has been organizing different local level campaign program on different child rights related issues which help to reduce hazards in workplace. NM has contributed to develop "Code of Conduct" with employer to protect themselves from different workplace hazards. Cultural team members of child forum are organizing puppet show, Art exhibition, discussion meeting, rickshaw and wall paints for effective campaign program. |

| Child Right Establishment: |

iNM has been working with children during 1996 for establishing their rights in different areas of Dhaka city and Netrakona District through operating different projects funded by Save the Children Sweden- Denmark, Plan Bangladesh and Concern worldwide. Several activities have been operating like provide training to the children and project staffs on Child Rights Convention (CRC). CRC week has been observed in different project areas every year. 2 Children of CC project participated in CRC alternative report writing organized by Save the Children Sweden Denmark. Besides this, organizes several meetings, workshops, seminars nationally and locally with parents, guardian and employers, local and religious leaders for sensitizing on Child rights.

Child Protection: |

| NM has adopted child protection policy of Plan Bangladesh . Besides this, NM provided training on children and project staffs on child protection. Besides this, NM has formed 3 (three) child protection committee consisting 9 (nine) children members in different areas of Dhaka Metropolitan City and Netrakona district to protect children from different workplace hazard, exploitation and abuse. And the committee meeting has been taken place quarterly to review the progress of protection related issues. Apart from this, NM introduces ID cards for street based and pavement dwelling working children to protect from different hazards that usually occurs in street and seek assistance from different law enforcing agencies

| Child Led Advocacy: |

NM introduces child led advocacy through providing training on communication and advocacy to the children and the project staff. Children of the project area Working Children who are engaged in white clay pulling and coal collection of the 18 CLO's of Durgapur union in Netrakona District prepared 12 problem solving plan and identified 38 different hazardous child labor issues like, reduce working hours, safety in workplace, increasing wage etc. to advocate with concerned stakeholders on those issues. Besides this, targeted children developed several drawings on their workplace environment, behavior of employer and parents, their wishes and dreams etc. organized photo and art exhibition, cloth painting and Tfd display. Besides this, day observation (Child Rights Day, World Anti- Child Labor Day, Int'l Mother Language Day, Victory Day, Education Day, Youth Day, Anti- Aids day) were observed for advocacying child rights.

Child Forum: |
| |

Working many years with children, NM felt that there should be a space and platform for the children where they could deal with different child related issues, express their feelings and opinion's, show their potential and acquire leadership quality and sort out problems in a united way, From this view, NM facilitated their targeted children to form a child forum in their working area for the betterment of children. |

There are 830 members of child forum, it has an elected committee, which consists of 11 members and all the children of child forum are street and working children's in the working areas of NM. Child forum has developed different child groups to ensure participation in decision making process of project activities. These groups are: child monitoring team, Theatre for Development (TfD), Drama and Puppet team and Trainer's team. |

| Child led Disaster Preparedness & Risk Reduction: |

| NM has formed child led disaster preparedness and management committee in Dhaka and Netrakona district consisting of 50 members who are being trained in disaster preparedness and risk reduction. They organize quarterly meeting with shelter management committee and community people who are at risk in disaster for awareness rising and developing action plan for disaster preparedness and risk reduction.

| Child Led Birth Registration: |

Nari Maitree is playing a significant role for mobilizing and institutionalizing "Birth Registration" process through undertaking different advocacy activities such as organizing several workshop and seminar and media campaign at national and community level, building strong network with Dhaka City Corporation, TNO and Union Parishad office, making TV spots, displaying in Billboard and bus painting. |

| Psycho- Social Counseling Support: |
| |
| NM has been providing psycho-social counseling support through its trained and experienced psycho-social counselor for street based working children. NM provided psycho-social support to the 88 no. children on domestic violence, puberty age, sexual harassment and exploitation in workplace. |
