Capacity Building
 
Bangladesh is a country with huge population, which is great human resources. However, without skills and jobs, a large portion of this population neither can make a productive contribution in GDP nor can change the socio-economic aspect in own family. Many of this population live under poverty line for many years. Given in PRSP that the poverty is the key issue and it should be addressed by various strategic actions. One of such strategic action is skill development of human resources to make them able to enter in to the world of work by either wage or self-employment. This way they can become asset in this population to this population to contribute in GDP.
Nari Maitree provided training to the employee for development and professionalism for achieving organizational achievement. Nari Maitree has been conducting different kinds of training from the beginning through its 8 well equipped training centers in different project working areas Besides, a number of skill-based educational and training materials, both print and audio-visual, have been developed which are being used in various GO, NGO projects for imparting income-generation training.
As per project need, NM has arranged training for staff and program partners.
 
Staff capacity building:
NM has arranged different kinds of in-house and out side training such as Basic Orientation, education method and primer, gender and development, CRC, Disaster management, primary health care, Behavioral change and communication, monitoring and evaluation, Peer approach, PRA , Awareness on HIV and AIDS, Gender and violence, psychosocial Counseling, domestic violence, Advocacy & Networking etc.
Some of the staff has also participated in overseas training in different advanced issue.
Besides this, exposure visit learning visit or study tour also organized within country or outside of the country. The major purpose of the visit is to share the experience and replicate the thoughts and idea where it appropriate.
 
 

Program Partners Development:

Direct program partners are children, adolescent, men and women and indirect program partners are different stakeholders such as parents, school teacher, local leader, local Govt, elite person.
NM has organized skill development training for the program participants. There are: sewing and Tailoring, Karchupi, / embroidery, Mobile phone servicing, electrical work, Motor Workshop, Computer operating, Beauty Parlor, Carpenter, Sanitary pipe fitter, driving, Video training, handicrafts, pottery, soap making, food processing, etc. Through these training program participants will be able to increase their income range.
In addition, the same time NM has organized capacity building training for the program participant for better implementation of the project activities. These training are gender and development, CRC, Disaster management, primary health care, Behavioral change and communication, Peer approach, Awareness on HIV and AIDS, Gender and violence, psychosocial Counseling, domestic violence etc.
Some times exposure visit and study tour also organized for sharing their best practice.
